Al Mirani Fort is located in old Muscat and overlooks the sea of Oman. It was built in the 16th century originally as a tower, before the Portuguese invasion, later the Portuguese rebuilt the fort to protect the harbor. It may be reached by ascending a set of stairs chiseled into the rock.

By car: Start from the Mutrah Corniche and head southeast along Al Bahri Road toward Old Muscat. Continue straight for approximately 3 kilometers, following the signs for Al Alam Palace. As you approach the palace, Al Mirani Fort will be visible on the western side of the harbor. Using GPS navigation is advised.

By taxi: You can easily reach your destination by taking a taxi or a ride-hailing app.
