Lebanese stand-up comedian John Achkar will be performing his latest special “Wein 3ayish” (2022) for the first time ever in Muscat.

John Achkar is a Lebanese stand-up comedian and entrepreneur who has recently attracted a lot of attention in the UAE and Lebanon through his content on tiktok and instagram. His comedy tackles issues involving religion, race and marriage. John starred in Stand-Up Baladi (2020), the first Lebanese stand-up comedy series in Arabic. He is known for his stand-up comedy specials “No worries” (2020) and “Wein 3ayish” (2022).
As an entrepreneur and owner of a business called Everythink, he continuously juggles business and comedy, and leads several improv for business workshops. John’s first time performing was in 2010 although his commitment to stand-up started with his first performance with awk.word in April 2017.
